A must for anyone visiting North Beach! The Bakist is the ideal place in the Twin Beach area to get a snack, a beverage, and hang out. There is a wide selection of coffee, espresso, and tea drinks, and a great set of fresh bakery items that are made by the owner -- fresh and authentic! The bakist is FANTASTIC!!! It has become my go to coffee shop in Calvert County! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Great vibes and great people working here! Definitely worth a visit!!!
Just left with 4 almond macaroons, my goodness to die for-yummy. They made the mocha latte perfect after I asked them to make it a specific way and it was delicious. Friendly and flexible staff. I have been here a few times and always had a good experience. Shout out to the Bakist glad you’re in the area. Check it out people. I’ll be back,,,,
The Bakist was a pleasant brunch surprise while my fiance and I enjoyed a scenic by way trip this morning. We'd never been in the area and stopped by on a whim, and I'm so glad we did! The sweet gentleman who took our order was wonderful - willing to answer questions and assisted us at the end as we decided to purchase four homemade foccacia rolls and additional goodies. I didn't get his name but we sincerely enjoyed interacting with him (blue/light eyes, tattoo on the back of his neck, slim build). For brunch, we ordered the egg and cheese croissant, ham and cheese with tomato and spinach on foccacia, iced cafe au lait and hot chocolate for 28 (tip included), and four foccacia rolls, blueberry muffin, gooey butter cookie, snickerdoodle cookie and s'mores cookie were all for 25. The foccacia roll alone is UNBELIEVABLE. Seriously, one of the best I've ever had and would be a killer grilled cheese served with tomato soup. High five to whomever makes the breads at The Bakist! The egg and cheese croissant sandwich was larger than I expected and hot, absolutely delicious. Parking was easy to find, although I'm sure it's more difficult on warmer days. The coffee/art shop was very nice and relaxing. Restrooms were clean and although the space felt very low key, the decor was inviting and comfortable. I sincerely look forward to returning to The Bakist again. Thank you to the kind team for a fun, delicious experience on our spontaneous day!
Update: I love the new location! Tons of indoor and outdoor seating, and a kitchen playset to keep kids entertained. -- Great spot for coffees and breakfast. Loved the lavender brown sugar flavor in my latte, and my husband was a big fan of the breakfast wrap and egg & cheddar sandwich. I liked the quiche lorraine and vegetable quiche, as well as the birthday cookie! Nice collection of tshirts, cards, coffee mugs, stickers and other cute knick knacks of you're looking for a little gift to take home.
I’m not an everyday coffee drinker but I do like getting coffee from this shop. I would have to say that the Employees are the key to this coffee shop they are nice and friendly. They have good breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. There are outside tables to sit at or go walk around on the boardwalk.
Always the best, lots of variety and delicious coffee and breakfast
Came in to a wonderful atmosphere with great music and people. Plenty of seats, and tasty food. I'm not vegan, but got a vegan sandwich... hands down, the best sandwich I've had in a LONG time. Please try this place at least once
